Volunteers collected 15 tons of refuse in Bulgaria’s nature parks

Nearly 2300 people joined the initiative of WWF targeting the collection of waste in Bulgaria’s 11 nature parks, vesti.bg reported.

The initiative took place on the national nature parks day. Volunteers collected 15 tons of refuse.

Volunteers also renovated rest places and the marking of mountain paths.

The biggest number of people joined the campaign involving the cleaning of Vitosha. Nearly 500 people collected four tons of waste.

Park cleaning is taking place for the second time. The previous edition of the campaign was organized in 2007.
