The number of European tourists visiting Bulgaria decreased 5.2 percent since the beginning of the year, head of the State Agency for Tourism (SAT) Anelia Kroushkova said as quoted by Focus news agency.
The decrease registered in the beginning of the year was overcome in May. Yet, figures went down 7.6 percent once again in June.
Each week figures change, Kroushkova said.
The number of visits from Serbia decreased 30 percent. Greek tourists decreased 11.3 percent. The number of UK visits dropped 21 percent and German visits registered a 10 percent decrease.
Bulgarian tourists have also limited their travels abroad. A decrease of nearly 14 percent was noted. Visits to Greece decreased 4.2 percent and to Turkey – two percent.
