The Thracian sanctuary of Tatoul will have video cameras that will protect the site from treasure hunting attempts, econ.bg reported.
Such equipment has been installed in only three Bulgarian archaeological sites.
Video monitoring is part of a project for the presentation and preservation of Tatoul worth 600 000 leva.
Cameras will also monitor the activities of tourists, who sometimes damage the site while exploring it.
Tapes will be preserved for a period of six months.
