The Bulgarian town of Veliko Turnovo will offer Serbian tourists special new tourism packages that focus on the exploration of religious landmarks, Tvoiat Den daily reported.
The Bulgarian town is now participating in the International Fair of Tourism in Novi Sad, Serbia. The fair is taking place from September 28 to October 1.
The package will include tourism visits to Tsarevets hill, Samovodska Charshia (Samovod marketplace) and Arbanasi village.
The main focus of the tourism tour will be the visit to St. Forty Martyrs Church. The most important saint of the Serbian Orthodox Church Saint Sava was first buried in the church after he died on 14 January 1235.
Veliko Turnovo officials approved the creation of 500 special souvenirs - bags containing soil from the saint's grave.
