Varna Airport registered a 16 percent decrease in passengers serviced by the middle of October on annual basis, Bulgarian News Agency reported.
The airport serviced 1 150 109 passengers since the beginning of the year.
Most passengers came from Russia and Germany, yet all international markets registered a decrease.
Varna Airport serviced 264 776 German passengers, a decrease of 22.3 percent. The decrease of Russian visitors reached 19 percent.
Domestic airlines registered a 36 percent decrease in passenger figures.
Varna Airport serviced most passengers on the Moscow, Tel Aviv, Dusseldorf, St. Petersburg and London lines.
