Since the beginning of 2010, Varna Airport registered a 2.1 percent decrease in passenger figures in comparison to figures for the same period of 2009, Radio Focus-Varna reported.
The airport serviced 520 000 passengers since the beginning of 2010.
Passengers from Russia and Ukraine represent the biggest group to arrive. The second and third biggest groups arrived from Germany and the Scandinavian countries, followed by visitors from the UK.
The airport serviced most passengers via arriving and departing domestic lines. Passengers from Moscow and Vienna rank second and third, respectively.
July 9 was the busiest day at the airport. The number of landing or departing aircraft reached 106.
During summer season 2010, Varna Airport services six new destinations - Wroclaw (Poland), Bergamo (Italy), Aarhus (Denmark), Lodz (Poland), Ufa (Russia) and Tabriz (Iran).
