Excavation works of the settlement mound near the village of Kosharna in the region of Rousse ended.

Archaeologists discovered three graves. Skeletons of an adult and two children were found in these. A burned down building was situated nearby. It was probably used for burial rituals.

Ceramic dishes and stones were discovered as well. Fragments used in the making of jewelry were also uncovered.

A pit in the central part of the mound holds the skeleton of a dog. It was discovered in 2007.

Excavations in this part of the mound will continue during summer 2009. According to archaeologists, the pit was part of a sanctuary used in performing sacrificial rituals.
