Bulgaria’s National Museum of History exhibited a unique sun stone on December 17 2009. This interesting Bulgarian medieval monument underwent serious conservation and restoration works.
The sun stone was discovered in 2008 in the vicinities of Pliska. Archaeologists believe that it dates back to the 13th and 14th centuries.
The artifact is part of the National Museum of History collection and is considered unique for Bulgaria and probably for Southeastern Europe.
