UNSECO will consider whether Bulgaria’s town of Nessebar has the right to be listed in World Heritage List, Dnevnik daily reported.
The World Heritage Committee's 34th meeting will take place in Brasilia from July 26 to August 3.
Bulgaria’s Neesebar might be removed from the list because of illegal construction in its old town, as well as because of the large number of street stands.
UNESCO warned Nessebar in 2006 and 2009 that the removal from the list could take place, if no actions are undertaken.
According to Nessebar’s mayor, the criticism originated from officials in another country.
