UK journalists visited the excavations under St. Sofia temple in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia on January 20.
The Bulgarian Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism Traicho Traikov accompany journalists and told them about archaeological works under the temple.
The church St. Sofia (God’s Wisdom) is situated is one of the oldest churches in Sofia and in Europe. It was built in the 6th century during the time of the Byzantine Emperor Justinian.
Journalists were in Bulgaria on a five-day trip and visited winter resorts Borovets and Bansko, Rila Monastery and Sandanski.
