Turkey plans to invest nearly $300 000 in tourism marketing in Moldova, Novosti-Moldova News Agency reported as quoted by Focus News Agency.

The Turkish embassy in Chisinau, Moldova commented that because to such tourism marketing campaigns, the number of Moldovan tourists visiting Turkish resorts may increase 15 to 20 percent in comparison to 2009 figures.

In 2009, over 117 000 tourists from Moldova spent their vacation in Turkey, which represents a 17 percent decrease in comparison to 2008 statistics.
