Trunchnovitsa village in the region of Pleven won an award for unique European settlement in terms of history and culture, Darik Radio reported.

The main aim of the European program is to promote good practices in the sphere.
Internationally-acknowledged experts make the nominations. So far, over 116 Bulgarian settlements have been nominated.
