Vromos beach near the Bulgarian seaside village of Chernomorets threatens the health of tourists because of twice higher than accepted levels of background radiation.
According to Bulgarian National Center of Radiobiology and Radiation Protection, seawater meets all quality requirements. Yet, the radiation in the region of the beach is double the levels that are permissible.
