The Ancient Stadium in Plovdiv already has its own official website - www.antichen-stadion-plovdiv.bg.
There are shown various tourist sites in the ancient city in the interactive map - among them are The Amphitheatre, The East Gate, The Great Basilica, The Forum, etc. The website provides online visitors with the context of the ancient stadium's epoch.
The website is part of the project "Ancient Stadium of Philippopolis - preservation, rehabilitation and urban renewal," which is supported by the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area. The idea of the website is to promote the Roman Stadium, becoming part of a group of websites advertising various cultural and historical monuments in Plovdiv, the Regional Governor Ivan Totev said.
The project for the renovation of The Little Basilica, which is implemented currently, also is planned to have its own website. The idea is all of the tourist sites in Plovdiv to be included in a general portal and connected with Plovdiv Airport's Portal Development Fund, Totev said.
