The Supreme Administrative Court took a decision according to which all the construction permits that Golden Pearl resort received are illegal, dnevnik.bg reported.
Golden Pearl’s construction is taking place inside Strandzha nature park. The investor turned to court, appealing a decision of the Bourgas regional construction control directorate. The directorate stated that construction permits were illegal.
Construction of the resort complex started in 2006. It was illegal from the very beginning, since no environmental impact evaluation was ever issued.
Nature preservation organizations are demanding the recultivation of the region but no such decision has been taken yet. Ecologists blame Tsarevo municipality for the chaotic situation.
