Stories about vampires may become a gold mine for the Bulgarian tourism

The discoveries of vampire graves in the seaside town of Sozopol may become a gold mine for the tourism development in Bulgaria, CNN reports on its official blog.

During the excavations in a monastery in Sozopol archeologists from the National Museum of History announced that they have found two skeletons of people stabbed with and iron rod in the hearts. That was a typical way in Medieval in Bulgaria to deal with people assumed to be vampires, CNN writes as quoted by museum.

Tourists from the US, Europe and Asia are attracted by the news about the vampires found in Bulgaria and tour operators react by arranging “vampire trips”.

“Big news about the vampires could pump even more blood into the country's expanding tourism industry… No stats on how many of those folks slept with the lights on, however”, CNN writes in the end of article.
