Spain is the most preferred destination for European travelers, exper.bg reported quoting research of Eurostat.
The chart ranks Italy, Germany, France and the UK right after Spain. Nearly 70% of all accommodations registered in European Union member countries involve hotels in these five countries.
Slovakia, Poland and Latvia registered the biggest increase in the number of accommodations. The biggest decrease affected Cyprus, Greece and the Netherlands.
Nearly 11.3 percent more Bulgarian tourists used the services of local hotels while the accommodation of foreign visitors decreased by 2.3 percent.
