Sofia Airport registered a 1.3 percent increase in the number of serviced passengers in the months from January to June 2010, in comparison to figures for the same period in 2009.
In June 2010, the airport registered a nine percent increase in comparison to visitor number for June 2009.
The total number of flights that arrived or departed at the airport during the same month totaled 4119, a three percent increase on an annual basis.
The increase in serviced cargo flights totaled 11 percent.
From the beginning of 2010 the airport has serviced four new regular lines to Copenhagen, Bolgna, Paris, and Frankfurt. The number of flights to Vienna and Kiev is increased.
