Silistra has the potential to develop successfully its tourism sector, head of the State Agency for Tourism (SAT) Anelia Kroushkova said as quoted by Focus Sever newspaper.
Kroushkova visited the region to meet municipality and tourism sector representatives and to discuss the development of the sphere.
Silistra and other municipalities can take part in SAT’s competition for the selection of excellent tourism destinations. This year, the annual competition will focus on nature preserves and protected areas.
Members of the municipalities in the Silistra region presented the most famous nature and cultural landmarks in their settlements.
