A sanctuary was discovered near to the village Preselentsi in the region of General Toshevo, radio Varna reported.
Archeologist discovered the remains of a blast furnace and stones from the foundations of the sanctuary. These remains date back to 10th century and archeologists believe that the sanctuary was probably a Christian church.
Research has been ongoing at the site of a medieval fortification near the village. Archaeologists discovered Old Bulgarian ceramics and animal bones.
