Low-cost aviation company Ryanair will perform flights to Plovdiv Airport from November 2010.
 
Ryanair will perform flights twice a week to Stansted Airport in London.

Representatives of the aviation company expect that Ryanair will service 30 000 passengers from Bulgaria this year. The airline’s ambition is to increase the number to 200 000 until 2013.

In March 2010, Bulgaria's government reduced Plovdiv Airport's taxes in half. The aim of this tax reduction is to turn the airport into a place attractive for tourism and business trips.
