The first group of 404 Russian children and 35 teachers to spend their summer in the Bulgarian seaside camp at Kamchia arrived, Tvoiat Den daily reported.
By August 26 2010, Kamchia resort will see the visits of over 2000 Russian children aged between six and nine.
Moscow city council pays for the vacation of the children from its social program.
Apart from child camps, Kamchia offers good vacation opportunities for veterans. All visitors from Russia take part in a Bulgarian language class, cooking class and traditional dances course.
The travel program includes visits to Varna and Nessebar. Russian visitors can select alternative destinations like Balchik, Aladzha Monastery, Mosaics Museum in Devnia and Varna’s Pobiti Kamuni rock phenomenon.
Construction of the Russian vacation complex started in September 2009. Moscow city council invested over 100 billion euro in the project.
