Romanian Black Sea beaches may disappear in the next 20 years because of erosion processes, Macedonian News Agency MakFax reported as quoted by Focus News Agency.
According to Romanian Institute for Marine Research and Development, over the past 45 years, 2200 hectares of beaches have disappeared. For the same period, only 70 hectares of beaches have formed.
The northern part of the Romanian coast is most endangered. Romania’s popular Mamaia resort is located there.
