Romania tries to stimulate tourism outside the active summer season
from 17.08.2010 16:48       Author - Tourist Media
Romania is already applying a program aimed at encouraging tourism outside the active summer season, Dnevnik daily reported quoting Romanian sources.

The Romanian federation of tourism owners is implementing the program in cooperation with the Romanian tourism ministry.

The program will be carried out during September, offering preferential packages throughout the month. A total of 38 hotels, having the capacity to accommodate 24 000 tourists, has jointed the campaign.

A similar program was introduced in Spain in 2009. Italy and Croatia encourage tourism outside the active season, as well. Croatia will introduce its program in 2011.
