Rila Monastery has finished the renovation of its hotel part, Bulgaria News Agency reported.
Plots were returned to Rila Monastery, after which it was able to launch the renovation works. A company has been selected to manage the hotel, staff has been hired as well.
The hotel’s accommodation capacity is sufficient for 150 people. Some of the rooms still have not undergone renovation, which is scheduled to take place in 2010.
The financial crisis has limited the number of visitors, monastery representatives said. Both Bulgarians and foreign tourists select Rila Monastery as a destination they would like to visit.
