Owners of restaurants and pubs in Sofia are opposing new municipal regulations concerning order in the city, dnevnik.bg reported.
According to the new regulations, all commercial sites operating in residential buildings should stop functioning at 10 pm. The same rule applies for restaurants and pubs located up to 30 m away from residential buildings.
Regulations have not received approval yet since some controversial items are still under discussion. According to restaurant items this vague points could create corruption conditions.
Bulgarian Association of Hotel and Restaurant Owners already sent a protest letter to the municipality. The letter asks for the new regulations to apply only for noisy entertainment spots.
