A campaign for the distribution of free ski passes will begin soon, Focus news agency reported. State Agency for Tourism (SAT) started the campaign in an attempt to stimulate winter tourism.
SAT will distribute 6000 free passes valid for Bulgaria’s winter resorts of Bansko, Pamporovo and Borovets. To be eligible for the free passes, tourists must have booked a vacation in the period from January 15 to February 1.
Public-private partnership will be used to cover expenses for the free passes. SAT will pay for 70 percent of the overall price and tourism sector representatives will provide the remaining 30 percent.
