Property prices have started decreasing in most of Bulgaria but remain highest in the coastal city of Varna, Narodno Delo newspaper reported quoting data of the National Statistical Institute (NSI).
The average real estate price per sq m in the country is 1074.98 leva. The price is highest in Varna where it reaches up to 1827 leva. In the capital city of Sofia a sq m costs 1745 leva.
The average decrease in Bulgarian property prices from April to June 2009 is 9.7 percent.
A decrease was registered in other cities like Rousse, Plovdiv and Vratsa.
