The Roman Stadium in the Bulgarian city of Plovdiv will be renovated.
Research will start first to determine the specifics of the region and the site and to draft a project focusing on the renovation of the stadium.
The main construction works are expected to start in September 2010.
Plovdiv’s Roman Stadium is located in the center of the city. Only a part of it can be seen, most of the stadium is still under the ground.
Renovation works have to finish by the end of April 2011. The projects is worth 896 825 euro and will be receive Norwegian funding.
Plovdiv municipality and the city’s cultural tourism association are partners in the projects.
