Bulgaria’s Perperikon Thracian sanctuary has been included in the book “Sacred Places: Sites of Spiritual Pilgrimage from Stonehenge to Santiago de Compostela,” Bulgarian News Agency reported.
Perperikon is the only landmark from the Balkan Peninsula that is part of the book of British author Philip Carr-Gomm, said Bulgarian archeologist Nikolai Ovcharov.
The book includes 51 cultural and historical landmarks worldwide.
According to Philip Carr-Gomm, these 51 sites hold special importance and emit specific spiritual energy.
