The Bulgarian town of Batak is working on project targeting the transformation of an old partisan camp into a tourist attraction, radio Focus-Pazardzhik reported.
Most of the partisan dug-outs are still preserved and numerous town visitors are showing interest in these.
The project will receive funding worth 200 000 euro from the EU regional development program.
Tourism paths leading to various Batak landmarks will be set up using the camp as a starting point. Initially, road infrastructure will have to be improved.
