Over 6000 tourists enjoyed the opera Don Carlos on July 30, 31 and on August 1, Darik Radio reported. Tourists from Russia, Romania, Germany, Spain, France and Great Britain attended the musical festival in the Bulgarian town of Veliko Turnovo.
The opera was staged during the festival Stage of the Ages, which traditionally takes place in Veliko Turnovo.
The festival will continue until August 8 in the foot of Tsarevets fortress.
Stage of the Ages includes performances of Duality and Bollero, which will take place on August 6. Carmina Burana will be staged on August 7 and 8.
