Over 6000 people have been visited Iailita preserve since the beginning of 2009, radio Focus-Varna reported. The increase is double compared to figures for 2008, Deputy Culture Minister Todor Chobanov said.

Chobanov examined restoration works taking place in the preserve after some of its landmarks were damaged in an August 5 earthquake.

Culture Ministry will allocate funds for the transformation of the preserve and of Kaliakra fortress into tourism attractions. Funds will be provided from budget 2010.
