Over 30 000 tourists have visited Diavolsko Gurlo cave near the Rhodope village of Trigrad, radio Focus-Smolyan reported.
Kostadin Hadzhiyski, one of the explorers and people responsible for the cave, said that interest in the natural phenomenon on behalf of foreign tourist groups has also increased.
The biggest foreign groups come from Israel, England and France.
Research will continue in the cave in 2009, Hadzhiyski said. Diavolskoto Gurlo is one of the seven caves in the Trigrad gorge. Hadzhiyski said that 2008 was a successful year for caving in the region.
