About 1500 foreign tourists visited Bulgaria each year to shoot or just to see live a rare butterfly, bird, bat, lizard or a flower.

Ornithological tourism in Bulgaria attracts many Britons who arrive under the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, in which 2.5 million people are members. Here tourists can see species not found in their countries - two types of pelicans - Great White Pelican and Dalmatian Pelican, Eastern Imperial Eaglе.

Among foreign tourists keen on ornithologist tourism in Bulgaria are Belgians, Dutchmen, Frenchmen, Italians, Americans, Canadians, Germans, Swedes and Finns.

From 2010 there is organized tours for sightings of reptiles and amphibians - around the Melnik, armchairs and sleeve Mountains and the Black Sea coast in Strandja.
