The number of construction permits issued in Bulgaria during the second quarter of 2009 decreased 30 percent on an annual basis according to investor.bg reported.
A total of 1832 permits was issued. The overall construction area totals 638 484 sq m.
The number of permits increased in comparison to figures for the first quarter of 2009. The increase totals 24.6 percent.
Most construction permits were issued in major cities among which Sofia, Plovdiv, the region of Sofia and Bourgas.
