Ferry from Bulgaria’s Nikopol to the Romanian Turnu Magurele will started operating after the road from Nikopol to Pleven is completely repaired, Nikopol mayor Valerii Zheliazkov told Monitor daily.
The road repairs have to be finished by the end of September. The ferry line will start functioning in October.
The ferry trip will last eight to 10 minutes, transporting passengers from the Bulgarian to the Romanian coast and vice versa.
Nikopol-Turnu Magurele ferry decreases the distance covered by Danube bridge by 200 km.
