New ski resort project presented to Bulgaria's Prime Minister

A project for the setting up of a ski center in the Razlog valley was deposited to Prime Minister Sergei Stanishev, Strouma daily reported.

Nearly 240 million euro will be invested in the Pirin Mountain resort over the coming three years. The project envisions the setting up of 58.8 km of ski tracks, 19.4 km of lifts as well as a golf course, horseback riding base, hotels and shops.

The ski tracks will have the capacity to service 18 855 tourists per day.

The project also envisions the setting up of a 30-m cabin lift having capacity to service 3500 people per hour.

Razlog, Simitli and Kresna municipalities have given their full support for the execution of the project.

This report was released in November 2006 at the height of the Bansko BOOM. IT HAS no bearing on todays market and will probably never happen !!! Bad Media coverage !!!
