Organization of World Heritage Cities (OWHC) gave Nessebar an honorable member distinction in 2010, the Bulgarian municipality announced.
Apart from the distinction, Nessebar municipality received a letter carrying the signature of OWHC general secretary Denis Ricard.
OWHC was created in 1993 in Morocco. Cities that are included in UNESCO’s World Heritage List are entitled to membership in the organization.
