Nessebar municipality will continue paying the electricity bills of Sunny Beach resort, Nessebar mayor Nikolai Dimitrov said.
This will be Nessebar’s attempt to aid the tourism sector in the region, since it is already burdened enough by the financial crisis.
Nessebar municipality agreed to pay in advance the electricity bills of the resort, in case it is granted the management of the resort infrastructure.
The agreement with Sunny Beach Ltd expires on October 31. Nessebar reserves the right to stop paying Sunny Beach debts.
Municipality representatives confirmed that Nessebar has no interest in purchasing the Sunny Beach infrastructure since such purchase will only burden the municipality financially.
