The resort coastal town of Nessebar marked Palm Sunday and the Bulgarian festive Lazarovden (the day before Palm Sunday).
Lazarki (young girls, performing traditional rituals) in traditional clothes blessed Nessebar visitors and residents and wished them health, wealth and luck.
Willow wreaths were thrown following the tradition from the bridge over Hadzhiyska River.
Children recreated Lazarovden rituals and performed traditional dances and folk songs.
