On 8 September Nessebar marked the International Day of Solidarity of World Heritage cities.
On the Day of solidarity in the city was presented the project for restoration and conservation of two emblematic medieval churches in the city - "St. John the Baptist "and "St. Paraskeva" and the tourist route "Spiritual path". It was also open an exhibition titled "The Temple" which is exhibited in the lobby of the museum. The exhibition presented medieval churches in Nessebar.
The holiday was marked on the initiative of the World Heritage cities and the date coincides with its creation in 1993
Nessebar is the only Bulgarian town, which is a member of the organization along with 260 cities in Europe, Asia, Africa, North and South America.
