Austria expects 40 000 Bulgarians to visit its ski resorts during winter season 2009/2010, Austrian National Tourist Office regional manager for Central and Eastern Europe Georgi Kapus said as quoted by 24 Chasa daily.
Zolden and Kaprun are the two winter destinations that Bulgarians prefer above others.
The average price for a seven-day vacation package, including accommodations and a six-day ski pass varies from 420 to 600 euro per person, excluding travel expenses. Each Bulgarian tourists spends additional 100 euro per day, Kapus said.
In 2008, 59 400 Bulgarians visited Austria, a figure representing increase of 17 percent in comparison to 2007 figures.
