A newly discovered golden treasure will be exhibited in the National History Museum starting October 21. The treasure dates back to the Bronze Age and has been discovered in the southern Sakar region, near the village of Izvorovo.
Archaeologists were researching a mound in the region, when the treasure was uncovered.
In the mound, archaeologists discovered golden necklace made of 320 beads and having length of 1.5 m. Other burial artifacts discovered include a gold and a silver plate, a silver ring, a bronze knife and several other golden objects.
Right after an opening press conference, the objects will be displayed in hall 1 of the museum. The museum is thankful to the Culture Ministry, which provided funding for the excavation works.
