Grown Apart

Bulgarian Prime Minister Boiko Borisov and the Minister of Culture Vezhdi Rashidov opened the Museum of Socialism Art.

The museum, an affiliate of the National Art Gallery, will collect, preserve and present examples the Bulgarian art from 1944 to 1989 - communist era.

The exposition includes more than 150 exhibits with 60 paintings. Part of the new-opened museum is a sculpture park.

The museum also has a video room showing documentaries from the communist era. All visitors are able to buy various souvenirs - mugs, t-shirts etc.
