The number of Bulgarians taking a vacation in the country’s coastal resorts will increase in August, Focus news agency reported quoting head of the Bulgarian Tourism Chamber Tsvetan Tonchev.
A two percent increase in the Bulgarian visits to Turkey was noted but the interest towards Greek resorts decreased.
Bulgaria’s resorts are suffering from the lack of qualified and polite staff, Tonchev said.
The number of visitors throughout the summer season will probably decrease by 15 percent. Despite the financial crisis, tourism revenue in 2009 could reach 2.5 billion leva.
