The number of foreign tourist visiting military museums in Bulgaria’s Pleven region has decreased, radio Focus-Veliko Turnovo reported.
Over the first half of 2009, 5452 foreigners explored the museums.
The number of tourists from Germany, Russia and Israel decreased. At the same time, more people from Romania, Greece, France and the UK came to Pleven and examined its landmarks.
Museum representatives believe that the decreased interest is a result of the financial crisis.
In July, the number of visitors to the museums reached 11 000.
