Lighthouses can turn into cultural and historical tourism attractions, Cherno More daily reported.
The idea was discussed during a summit in Pomorie, dedicated to the creation of an international society for the preservation of Black Sea, Sea of Azov and Caspian Sea lighthouses.
The new society is to be founded on August 20 2010 in Bulgaria’s seaside town of Pomorie.
The idea for the creation of the society received support from 51 countries.
