Excavation works near the Bulgarian village of Ohoden, Vratsa region, has to stop due to the lack of funding, Darik Radio reported.
Budgetary funds were fully utilized. Excavation works near the village have allowed archaeologists figure out the lifestyle of people who used to live there from 8000 to 6000 BC. The region had a stone utensils workshop. Its works were sold as far away as the Carpathian region.
In 2007, archaeologists discovered ancient funerals there.
Plans involve the construction of an outdoor museum in the area, as well as of an experimental archaeology center.
