Excavation works at Kaliakra cape will continue in 2010, Kavarna history museum manager Darina Mircheva said as quoted by Focus-Varna.

Archaeologists will explore the region surrounding the fortress and the area around the cape.

During excavations in 2009, archeologists discovered various artifacts among which ancients dishes, ceramics, bronze artifacts, coins and weapons. Archaeologists studied 13 graves and two buildings near the burial site.

All artifacts can be seen today in Kavarna’s history museum.
